David & Sarah // Trinity Buoy Wharf Wedding
David and Sarah’s Trinity Buoy Wharf Wedding was the warmest of wintry affairs. The couple were afforded the rare opportunity to get married amidst the understated elegance of the Dick Sheppard Chapel (St Martin in the Fields). You really can’t beat it’s prime position right in the heart of Trafalgar Square. It was perhaps unsurprising that when Sarah arrived in her London cab she got ALOT of attention from the tourists (I had some serious camera competition). In such a bustling location this elegant little chapel provided an intimate backdrop for 25 friends/family to witness an emotional ceremony.
As the sun set the wedding party headed eastward to Trinity Buoy Wharf situated in the heart of the East London docklands with spectacular views of the O2 arena and the city beyond. The happy couple were met by a large group of friends and family with a night time confetti throw (a first for us and slightly hazardous to negotiate!). Mulled wine, candles & festoon lights galore this wedding had all the wintery wonder.
A special mention must go to Sarah’s Mum who handmade not only Sarah’s stunning wedding dress but the bridesmaids, Grandmother’s and her own- a major task that she seemed to take in her stride (serious Mum points!). They all looked incredible!
After speeches were done and cakes cut the dance floor filled just in time for the ceilidh band to strike up a rousing tune and the partying to really begin! We had the best time with David and Sarah at Trinity Buoy Wharf and definitely hope to return there soon! Here are a few of our highlights from a very special day…
