Joel & Marisa's Domaine du Beyssac wedding was one of the most emotionally charged and down right joyful occasions we've ever had the privilege to capture. The chateau is located on the site of an old abbey 30km south of Toulouse and to put it simply was just the perfect location for such an occasion.
It was obvious from our first chats with this fitness mad couple that the wedding day really was going to be something special. We feel so privileged in our line of work to get to know so many incredible couples and these two were no exception. With Marisa's warm Canadian charm and Joel's infectious smile, you really would be hard pressed to find two more lovely human beings!
Marissa looked simply out of this world in her Oui the Label dress matched perfectly by Joel's dapper linen suit and braces combo. After a biblical downpour the day before the wedding and rain threatening, the ceremony moved indoors for a more intimate setting. Just as Marissa entered to begin walking down the aisle the forecast downpour commenced...although this time supplied by an emotional Joel!
I'm still unsure whether it was the lucky sausage that was buried the evening before (this is Toulouse after all) or just the weather gods smiling on this amazing couple but just in time the sun broke through in spectacular fashion giving us a chance to head out and grab a few couple portraits before sinking behind the distant Pyrenees.
A special shout-out should be given at this point to the musical maestros at Truly Medley Deeply for keeping the dance floor pumping with a volley of stone cold classics! We always look forward to the evening band/DJ set & bagging some great P-A-R-T-Y snaps (Pete=ninja with a camera on the dancefloor!)
We had the best time at this incredible wedding and couldn't wait to share it, thanks for having us along! We will definitely be back to explore more of Toulouse soon, but in the meantime here's a few of our favourite moments...
