Mellie & Hamish // Lageret Studio Oslo Wedding
To say that Mellie and Hamish’s Lageret Studio Oslo Wedding day had ALL the emotions is no exaggeration.
Mellie started her day…in Hospital. Yes, every brides worst nightmare! However sickness was not going to hold this hardcore bride back. With the ceremony fast approaching she discharged herself from Hospital & got ready in super quick time.
Mellie (Norwegian) and Hamish (Aussie) decided to get married on the edge of the forest overlooking a lake outside of Oslo. You can tell why they chose this spot it was beautiful & so tranquil (until the groomsman turned up!). Hamish & the guests gathered by the lake waiting for Mellie. With no phone signal they were unsure whether the bride would actually make it. I don’t think there was a dry eye in the house when Mellie & her Father finally walked down the aisle to a relieved Hamish.
The reception took place in the ‘Lageret Studio’ an incredible old converted paper factory. We had a lot of fun taking pictures and exploring the unique grounds around studio. This included an eerie abandoned factory (which looked like something right out of a movie), topped off by the biggest wood pile I’ve ever seen, it must have been about a mile long (only in Norway!).
Not only did this wedding have all the emotions but the attention to detail was another level making this Morrocan/Norwegian/Australian fusion really one of a kind.
Mellie and Hamish are two of the funniest & loveliest people, we felt so privileged to have been there to capture their day. I struggled to cull it down for one blog post…but here it is, just a few highlights of a truly memorable day.
