Bride in the Londesborough pub stoke newington wedding by creative and alternative london wedding photographer the shannons photography

Reuben & Jess // Stoke Newington Wedding

I don’t think you can beat a cosy pub winter wedding. In an attempt to sound ‘down with the kids’ I think this wedding fits the ‘hygge’ bill pretty well…good grub, a roaring pub fire, great company and booze aplenty (we’re just missing the Danish designer furniture and blankets).

Jess, a self confessed ‘charity shop queen’ always manages to look stylish in her charity shop purchases. Therefore when is came to wedding dress shopping she knew exactly where to look and man did she pull it off (complete with her charity shop shoes- of course). Not stopping there her bridesmaids and Mum picked up their sparkly dresses from (yes, you’ve guessed it) the charity shop. Reuben, a professional drummer, was able to get the ‘band back together’ for the evening- needless to say, the dancefloor was never empty. Jess & Reuben’s chilled out attitude seeped into the whole day. I’ve never met a couple so unfazed by wedding prep whilst still managing to pull of such a gem of a day.

Jess & Reuben thanks for having us along to capture this memorable day. Here are a few highlights…
