The Ned Wedding // Lauren & George

As far as London City weddings go, the Ned is quite a hard act to follow! This historic banking hall pretty much ticks every box, from its incredible location to the amazing skyline views. Lauren & George always wanted a London wedding & the Ned certainly didn't disappoint!

Their black tie celebration started with drinks downstairs in the old banking area to the sound of the house jazz band. Lauren got ready with her bridesmaids and enjoyed a relaxed morning with champagne on the balcony (seriously, the Ned knows how to do a balcony) before putting on her beautiful custom Pronovias dress finished with a simple veil.  After an emotionally charged ceremony guests headed out to an unseasonably warm autumn afternoon of champagne and music on the Ned’s roof terrace.

As the sun set behind the breathtaking silhouette of St Paul’s the party continued on with speeches closely followed by the dancing, to the soundtrack of an incredible 12-piece function band.  This was our first introduction to the traditional jewish wedding dance known as the ‘Horah’ (which turns out to be as fun as it sounds).  It involves raising the couple aloft on chairs and proceeding to parade them precariously around the dancefloor, which is photography gold to say the least.

If we had to shoot one wedding venue to shoot every day for the rest of our lives I recon the Ned might end up top of the list...! Thanks to Lauren & George for being the most wonderful couple and for planning such a stylish, joyful and all around life affirming wedding.  Here’s a few of our favourite moments…
