Where to start with this most epic Anglo-Indian vogue wedding...! We had the most amazing time capturing this creative power couple’s big day and having it featured in Vogue was just the icing on the cake.
I’m not sure words are going to do any justice at all to the fun, joy, colour, details, emotions and energy that was packed into this 2 day extravaganza but here's our best shot!
First up was the Mhendi party, celebrated the night before, with guests getting gowned up in traditional Indian attire and henna tattoos before the Pithi ceremony. This essentially involves dowsing the couple in a day-glow mix of turmeric, chickpea flour and rosewater paste…the results speak for themselves.
It’s one thing for a bride to tweak their look with a change of shoes or letting their hair down, but in typically next level Zeena fashion she managed not 1 but 4 full on outfit changes! Highlights included the most amazing yellow Indian Sherwani complete with paper flower crown (handmade by husband and paper craftsman Zack), a stunning pink Lehenga by Frontier Raas, a custom made Charlie Brear feather dress and finally a second stunning Charlie Brear number for the dance floor.
Tradition dictates that the bride that gets to make the grand entrance to her waiting groom. Zack however, made sure to make the most of his spectacular arrival to the Ganesh Puja (a pre-wedding blessing ceremony) by leading his band of groomsmen atop a bright yellow tuk tuk flanked by a pair of traditional Indian drummers.
The weekend was made even more spectacular by the breathtaking surroundings of Elmley Nature Reserve. Located in the Isle of Sheppey, this incredible location leaves you feeling utterly one with nature with its expansive views and it's rare and interesting wildlife. Eleanor and the team are just all manner of lovely and we hope to be back there soon for either a wedding or maybe even an off-grid weekend break.
We were also lucky enough to capture their legal ceremony in Hackney - we're so glad to have captured such special celebrations for the loveliest couple! Here’s a few of our favourite moments for you to enjoy…
